Location: Seven Mile Beach
There’s something extra special about Grand Cayman maternity photography when the island itself has been such a big part of your story.
Candice and Richard were living in Grand Cayman when they found out they were expecting their first baby. Before packing up island life and heading off on their next adventure, they wanted to capture this season in the place they had called home.
So naturally, we headed to the beach.
We had one of those gorgeous Cayman evenings with soft light, warm water and the perfect sunset. Nothing overly posed or complicated, just the two of them, that beautiful bump and one last little piece of Cayman to take with them. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed beach maternity session and a pretty special way to remember their time on the island.
And if Candice looks familiar, you may know her from Nurture Pelvic Health. Candice is a pelvic health physiotherapist and the woman behind @nurtureyourvagina, where she talks openly about all the things we probably should be talking about more: pelvic and sexual health, pregnancy, postpartum, periods and everything in between.
Her whole thing is making these conversations feel normal, approachable and a lot less taboo, so it feels pretty fitting that I got to photograph this particular chapter of her own story.

Thinking about maternity photos in Grand Cayman?
Whether you call Cayman home or you’re here for a babymoon, maternity photos are such a good excuse to slow down and capture this little window before everything changes. Sunset sessions are relaxed, easy and all about the two of you (and that bump!) with one of Cayman’s beautiful beaches doing the rest of the work.
If you’re considering Grand Cayman maternity photography, I recommend booking your session for somewhere around 28–34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully showing but you’re hopefully still comfortable enough to walk, move and even get in the water.
