There’s nothing quite like the first year of your baby’s life. From gummy grins to wobbly first steps, this chapter is packed with blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments. That’s why milestone sessions have become a favorite among families here in Grand Cayman, and why I love photographing them at my studio in West Bay.

Whether it’s a sitter session (typically around 6–9 months) or a fun, personality-packed first birthday shoot, these sessions are all about freezing time and celebrating your little one’s journey.

What Is a Milestone Session?

A milestone session is a short, sweet photo shoot that captures your baby at a specific age or stage- think pushing up during tummy time, sitting unassisted, or standing with a little help. Most families choose to schedule them at:

• 3 months (alert eyes, soft coos)
• 6–9 months (sitting up, tons of personality)
• 12 months (first birthday, maybe with a cake!)

Each stage brings something new, and every session is customized to reflect your baby’s personality. I keep things simple, warm, and timeless- with soft fabrics, neutral tones, and natural expressions that let your little one shine.

Where Do Sessions Take Place?

Milestone sessions are held in my natural light studio in West Bay, Grand Cayman. It’s fully equipped for babies, air-conditioned, and calm – perfect for keeping your little one comfy. If you’d like to include a few family shots during the session, we can absolutely do that too.

Planning Your Session

These sessions are typically around 30 minutes – short enough to keep your baby engaged but long enough to capture plenty of variety. You’re welcome to bring a change of outfit or two, and I always have wraps and soft blankets available. I don’t use props or themes, but instead keep the focus on your baby and their story.
