London Ontario Wedding Photographer | Cayman Islands | Grand Old House
Meet Christin and Jeff! I had the honour of photographing their beautiful wedding. The day started at the beautiful Villa Mora in Cayman Islands. What a dream home…perfect for bridal prep shots. Such gorgeous, yummy natural light. Since their wedding ceremony was taking place at sunset I was able to capture their “first look”. It’s such sweet, private moment between couples and it’s something we definitely recommend for our couples.
Christin, Jeff, you guys are a perfect match for each other! You clearly love each other deeply.
Wishing you a blissful year as husband and wife

1.) How did you two meet?
We met in Baton Rouge in 2007. I chased Christin for months before she gave me a chance. Once she did, there was no looking back!
2.) How did he pop the question?
He surprised me after work and had flowers and candles all over the house, and when I walked in he was down on one knee.
3.) How long have you been together?
7 wonderful years.
4.) What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?
Jeff: Seeing Christin during the first look. I waited at the end of the dock for about 10 minutes and the anticipation was killing me. Finally, she arrived. She looked so amazing. Just a perfect moment.
Christin: Our vows. We had talked about our vows for a long time, going over what we would say, and to be able to finally say them to one another was incredible.
5.) How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
More amazing than we ever thought it would be. It all came together so seamlessly and was just so incredible.
6.) What advice would you offer to other couples planning a destination wedding?
Just go with the flow and relax. If you are choosing a destination wedding, then you know it’s beautiful or that the location means something to you. Don’t sweat the small stuff. All of your guests are on vacation and will have a wonderful time.
7.) What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?
Have fun with it and trust Daria!
8.) Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?
9.) How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
We loved working with Daria. She made us feel so comfortable and at ease. We laughed the whole time and there’s nothing she won’t do to get the best shot.
10.) Did you see each other before the wedding? If not, did you like waiting or would you have rather done it differently? Tell me why or why not!
Yes. So glad we did. It gave us an intimate moment right before the wedding.
11.) Any tips on how to prepare for the wedding photos?
We loved meeting with Daria before the wedding to do an engagement shoot. We became more comfortable with taking photos and working with her.
12.) What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Trust the professionals involved in the wedding, they know what they are doing. Whether the planner or minister, they know exactly what they are doing and we recommend leaving the details with them.
20.) What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife? Father-daughter dance? Mother-son dance?
First Dance: Ray Lamontagne – You are the Best Thing
Father/Daughter: Van Morrison – Brown-Eyed Girl
Mother/Son: Louis Armstrong – What a Wonderful World
