London ON Photographer | Port Stanley Beach | 3 Generations
I first met Amanda and her hubby during their maternity photo session back in the fall of 2012. I remember how amazing this girl looked pregnant…beautiful, tall and all belly! The McDermott’s live in Toronto but I had the pleasure photographing them a few times whenever they were in London visiting family. This time Amanda wanted something a little different than previous shoots. She was cottaging with her family in Port Stanley and thought it would be a great opportunity to photograph 3 generations of beautiful women (including little Miss Ava) on a gorgeous beach setting. I had so much fun capturing the beauty of this lovely family. I especially loved chasing after busy little Ava as she ran around the beach exploring the sand, water and rocks! Ahhhh…to be young and carefree.
Favourite part of the shoot: “I loved how you just followed Ava around as she played in the sand and dipped her feet in the water. The session was so natural and calm…it was also nice to share it with my mom and sister and get some family shots. I didn’t have to worry about anything and Daria directed us on what to do to capture the perfect photo.”
Wardrobe: “Ava wore a light peach coloured dress that I picked up at Winners. It was comfy and flowy and went with the natural colour theme. My mom sister and I just wore our normal daily outfits to keep with the laid back feel of the shoot”
Doubts: “My main concern was that our 17 month old daughter would not cooperate and it would be hard to get good photos. Daria is very good at catching her attention in different ways and capturing shots that aren’t always posed and are more natural. Our daughter just loves getting her picture taken by Daria.”
Words of wisdom: “Don’t think too much about the poses and the outfits…. you just have to go with it and have fun. When you look at the picture in the future you want to remember how much fun that day was”
As always comments, shares, and likes are all welcomed and appreciated 🙂
