The Old Court House | Family Portraits | London Ontario Family Photographer
Meet Amy, Daryl and little Drew. Our session took place at the Old Court House in London ON. It was a beautiful sunny evening. I just loved my time with this trio. Little Drew was the sweetest little boy who clearly loved his mommy and daddy. Daryl is such a nice guy…he laughed at every lame joke I made! LOL. Maybe I’m in fact that funny?? Amy and I have known each other for a few years now. She in fact hired me as her replacement during her maternity leave at Oxford County. Who would have guessed that I would be photographing her lovely family a few years later. It was great to see you again, Amy! Have an amazing summer!
Favourite part of the session: “Daria makes your whole family feel so comfortable! Taking professional photos is not the most natural thing for our family (as most would agree I’m sure), but she helped us relax and worked with our family. We like candid shots and she did such a good job of working in a few posed photos, and then letting us be natural and shooting photos as we walked along. Our 3 year old son, Drew, loved Daria…she was so good with him and let him do his thing, while snapping photo after photo! We weren’t sure how photos with a rambuctious, “never sits still” 3 year old would turn out….but he was great….and I attribute that to Daria’s style!”
Wardrobe: “I stressed a little bit about the whole wardrobe issue…wanting us to look coordinated but not matching. I read somewhere to put kids in patterns and adults in solids, so that is what we did and it seemed to work. I picked up Drew’s shirt at GapKids for some pops up colour and then left Daryl and I in solids.”
Words of Wisdom: “Let your kids be themselves…those will be the photos your treasure (at least in our home!):
That’s all folks! Drop me a line if you would like me to capture your own family’s unique story!
